And This Is How I See It...
As I See It: On Major Books Series Wars

Like what the fuck for?

I will be honest a huge part of me wanted to simply post this with just the above statement, and let that be that. As I see it, the only time a comparison conversation should come into play is if your recommending a variety of series to a friend to read. That feels like the only time it makes sense, because maybe they like one genre over another.

Fandom Wars... they are not as bad I feel as the individual shipping wars that take place within but are almost as volatile. I’ve previously said:

“More people should just allow things to be great in their own right without comparison to something else.” — Me

At the time that I said this I was speaking specifically about the Twilight, Harry Potter war that seems almost never ending. I love Harry Potter I’ve been a loyal fan for more than half my life, almost 14 years now. I love twilight I read that entire series in 4 1/2 days back in ‘08 and have been a loyal fan since. I read Hunger Games earlier this year, just has fast and with just as much interest as all of the prior. I love to read to much to rule out a series because it’s being adapted into a movie and all the focus is going to be on the shinning new toy, and not my equally as shinning not so new toy.

And that’s it.

I don’t see where the conversation came that to love one you have to hate the other, and since this quote has been working for me in so many different aspects of life right now:

ITS OKAY TO LOVE THEM BOTH (ALL)! KATHERINE SAID I COULD!
