I have been a shipper of Kessi from the second I found out there was a girl like Kyle in existence. When Jaimie Alexander joined the cast of Kyle XY I immediately  became fond of her character and the almost instant connection she had with Kyle. That first time she see’s him in the park, oh my goodness I didn’t need anymore selling than that.

As time passed and the dynamic between them was more defined I became more and more cemented to my ship. I knew I would go down with it even before they had their first kiss or hint at a first kiss. This was actually another time where I found myself on opposite sides of a ship from someone in my family.

My sister while not being a total kymanda shipper, didn’t agree with Jessi wanting Kyle who was someone the boyfriend of someone else. I couldn’t really argue against that reasoning because I’d have disliked any girl that came near Kyle if we’d gotten to see Kyle and Jessi experience a long time relationship. So for the most part I just kept sailing on my ship, and I’m just thankful that it did become canon before the show met its tragic early cancellation.

Kyle and Jessi are one of my go to couples to write fan fiction for and i’m happy to be able to continue to support the fandom and the kessi shippers out there! :]]
